This is my sister, Jazmine.

Today is her birthday.

This is my sister, Jazmine. Today is her 30th birthday.

Last year she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She fought hard and lived her life to the fullest in 2020, but sadly her time on this earth was fulfilled and she was taken from us to serve His greater purpose on September 4th, 2020.

During her time fighting, she was reluctant to share her story—never wanting anyone to feel sad or sorry for her. She later realized the impact that she could make spreading awareness and made it a point after she was able to get better to share her story and hopefully prevent others from having to experience what she went through.

She never got the chance to really share her story. That is why today in honor of her Birthday, I ask that you please join me in making donations towards ovarian cancer research. For the next two weeks, until April 14th, I will be accepting donations and will match the first $600 out of my own pocket and disperse the funds equally in Jazmine’s name to:

The Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance
The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition
The Foundation for Women’s Cancer

Studies have shown gynecological cancers are greatly underfunded compared to other types of cancer and while all types of cancer research is important, the amount funded for ovarian research is in decline every year. The best defense against ovarian cancer is early detection and more research. Please help me in my efforts to continue my sister’s legacy. Thank you.

I will be accepting payments primarily through Zelle, CashApp, and Venmo but will accept PayPal as a last resort to avoid fees and make sure all proceeds will go to ovarian cancer research. (Please tap the icons below to take you to their respective webpages.)I know times are hard right now and if you are unable to donate, please consider sharing to all of the important women in your life.

After I have collected all of the funds, I will make the payment screenshots available so that everyone will be able to experience this moment of celebrating Jazmine’s life.
